About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Claims Examiner to join our team. As a Claims Examiner, your primary focus will be on handling Accident and Health Japanese client claims in a prompt and professional manner.
Your Responsibilities:- Manage a portfolio of claims for Accident and Health Japanese clients and assist with processing other Retail claims as required.
- Evaluate claims in accordance with service level and quality requirements, including determining coverage, reserving within timeframes, making payments, responding to customer queries, providing updates, and requesting additional information as needed.
- Communicate effectively with brokers, claimants, and other stakeholders through telephone and written correspondence.
- Pursue ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with underwriters, compliance, and other departments to resolve matters efficiently.
- Apply claims policies and procedures, including those related to fraud, salvage, cost containment, and complaints.
- Review income replacement claims for payment of periodic benefits and develop strategies for claim management and successful return-to-work initiatives.
- Participate in claims meetings with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
- Handle Emergency Assistance cases end-to-end.
- Coordinate payment of claims costs and service provider fees, including reconciliation and liaison with overseas entities.
- Provide guidance and coaching to service providers as required.
- Maintain performance and process oversight of service providers, recommending improvements where necessary.
- Support daily payment, audit, and administrative tasks as needed.
