The Role
  • The Divisional Manager will lead 3 hydraulic hosing sites in the Gunnedah region across 4 days per week.
  • The role is a blend of managing the team in these facilities, managing inventory, working with customers and technicians to formulate hosing solutions and running the commercials for the Hydraulic Hosing division, reporting back to the Managing Director.
  • Working to increase broader presence within current customers and identifying other opportunities to supply more nationally.
  • Undertaking regular site visits to customers to discuss needs and efficiencies.
  • Allocating internal inventory to convert opportunities.
  • As first line, handling all staffing matters for the 3 sites including rostering, HR, and performance.
  • Taking responsibility for Health & Safety within the sites.
  • Working closely with the Managing Director to identify inventory acquisition needs, both short term and long term.
  • Reporting to the MD and board on sales activity, growth opportunities, and performance.
  • You will also be involved in other activities such as marketing, stock management, and pricing.
Your Experience
  • You will have strong technical experience in the hydraulic hosing industry.
  • Ideally, you will have exposure specifically related to mining.
  • You will have experience leading a team, or be ready and driven to step up to a management role.
  • You will be confident speaking with customers and the senior management team internally.
  • You will have an aptitude for communication with all people and a proven track record in forming positive professional relationships.
  • You will have the ability to analyse the P&L for the division and confidently discuss costs, sales, projections, and budgets with the MD and wider senior leadership team.
  • An ability to work autonomously, managing the division, with support from the wider senior leadership team as needs.
  • You will be happy to be based in the Gunnedah or surrounding area and potentially be seeking a more regional and balanced lifestyle.
