Job Title: Lead Civil Design Engineer

Location: Perth Office

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Civil Design Engineer to join our growing Engineering team in Perth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing engineering input into the design of civil earthworks, roads, drainage, and stormwater systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering input into the design of civil earthworks, roads, drainage, and stormwater systems.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of civil earthworks design, including attending relevant meetings and reporting to the Principal Civil Engineer on allocated projects.
  • Undertake engineering calculations and reports.
  • Review 2D drawings and 3D project models of civil works, including earthworks, roads, and drainage, to ensure compliance with design intent.
  • Review bulk earthworks, volume calculations, and material take-offs (Schedule of Quantities).
  • Work with other discipline team members and consulting firms to ensure suitable integration at discipline interfaces.
  • Provide engineering support for construction queries associated with project designs.
  • Support the Principal Civil Engineer with input into engineering estimates, resource, and schedule management.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in the design of site earthworks, roads, drainage, stormwater, sewerage reticulation, and other minor site infrastructure.
  • Experience in the resource sector is preferable but not essential.
