High-quality support is required for individuals with disabilities in a professional capacity.

About the Role:

  • We seek an individual with sound knowledge of SLES/DES who can provide exceptional support to individuals with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience working with young people with a disability, either professionally or personally, is essential.
  • A strong understanding of disability and its impact on social relationships, independent living, daily needs, physical health, vocational, and employment needs is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, are necessary.
  • The successful candidate will be able to function as a constructive and collaborative member of a small cohesive team.
  • Qualities of empathy, compassion, and integrity are highly valued.
  • A valid driver's license is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional support to individuals with disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and services that meet the needs of clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge of SLES/DES.
  • Demonstrated experience working with young people with a disability.
  • Strong understanding of disability and its impact.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Qualities of empathy, compassion, and integrity.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid Certification.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • National Police Certificate.
  • Driver Licence.
