Water Infrastructure Design Lead

We're seeking an experienced professional to lead digital delivery projects and design work, developing BIM models and engineering drawings. The successful candidate will work on significant water infrastructure projects, developing leadership capabilities.

This role involves leading digital delivery projects, designing and delivering water infrastructure projects. You'll be working on projects that benefit the local community while developing your leadership skills.

You'll provide technical input within the design team, undertake reviews of deliverables, and ensure compliance with design quality systems and client standards. Supporting project managers, you'll help manage operational risk, HSE, and quality outcomes by identifying potential issues early and providing accurate progress updates.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3D CAD software, experience in water treatment and conveyance systems, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead digital delivery projects and design work, developing BIM models and engineering drawings.
  • Develop and implement digital delivery strategies for water infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical input within the design team, undertaking reviews of deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with design quality systems and client standards.
  • Support project managers in managing operational risk, HSE, and quality outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in water treatment and conveyance systems, 3D modelling, drafting, design and delivery.
  • Advanced experience with 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, or similar modeling tools).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with others and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Problem-solving skills to find ways to overcome challenges.
