Fire System Installation and Maintenance Technician

This is a key position within our company, responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of dry fire systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in dry fire system installation and fire panel programming, with experience working on commercial, residential, and industrial sites.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing, testing, and commissioning dry fire systems according to Australian standards.
  • Programming and configuring fire alarm control panels from major brands.
  • Performing regular maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical and system drawings.
  • Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Liaising with clients, builders, and site supervisors as required.

Requirements include:

  • Qualified/licensed electrician.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with fire detection systems.
  • Proven experience programming fire panels (essential).
  • Strong understanding of AS 1670 and AS 1851 (or local codes).
  • White Card and relevant industry accreditations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Driver's license and reliable transport.

Bonus points will be awarded for candidates with experience working with BMS or integration systems, as well as those holding Fire Safety Certification or FPAS accreditation.
