About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Centre Operations Technician to join our facilities team at NEXTDC Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centres, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Management: Assist with the day-to-day operations of the data centre, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of critical infrastructure.
  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality technical support to customers, responding to requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Vendor Management: Assist with the management of vendors and contractors, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve facility problems in a timely and effective manner, escalating issues to senior staff as necessary.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with colleagues, customers, and vendors, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date on facility operations and issues.
Requirements
  • Education: TAFE Cert in Telecommunications or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of data centres, data cabling, and cable management. Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a facilities or technical support role, preferably in a data centre environment.
  • Citizenship: Australian citizenship required due to security clearances.
