The YMCA WA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our Children Services team in Welshpool. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care services across our Metro and Regional Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure ELC services meet or exceed compliance and reporting standards, delivering consistent quality outcomes across the organisation.
  • Oversee adherence to the National Quality Framework, ensuring ELC services meet legislative requirements and industry trends.
  • Support the General Manager in maintaining a positive culture through effective leadership and communication.
  • Prepare annual budgets for ELC services in partnership with the General Manager and Centre Directors.
Essential Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent from a recognised institution.
  • HLTAID012 First Aid Certificates.
  • Demonstrate a high level of skill in reporting.
  • Experience working in an early childhood setting in a similar role.
  • Sound understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Education and Care Services Regulations 2012 and the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Financial Management, including budget preparation skills.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of staff.
  • Extensive knowledge of Child Protection and its implications for the care and protection of children.
  • National Police Certificate & Working with Children card.
