Public Relations Account Manager Job

The ideal candidate will be a strategic and collaborative individual with a sharp eye for detail.

  • Create and implement PR campaigns, calendar plans, and critical path timelines that meet client expectations.
  • Lead the management of client activity, ensuring forward planning and timely execution of all deliverables.
  • Maintain and update key account tools such as coverage trackers, media lists, influencer databases, and shared folders.
Media and Influencer Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media and influencer contacts.
  • Secure interviews, feature coverage, and media appointments that align with client goals.
  • Support junior team members in growing their networks and developing media skills.
Client Service
  • Gain a deep understanding of client brands, products, markets, and competitors.
  • Lead regular meetings and communications with clients to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
  • Respond to client needs in a timely and solution-focused manner, coordinating across teams.
Team Management
  • Support and guide junior team members in their development and growth.
  • Maintain open communication with senior managers on account status, performance, and team development.
  • Provide constructive feedback and participate in performance check-ins and mentorship conversations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in a PR or communications agency environment.
  • A proven track record of running day-to-day client work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong media and influencer relationships across relevant sectors.
  • Highly organized, solutions-focused, and comfortable juggling multiple projects.
