Job Title: Healthcare Professional

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to join our team as a Medical Officer. As a Medical Officer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty and providing care that supports their health and wellbeing pre and post deployments.
  • You will provide medical technical advice to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve and maintain the health and wellbeing of Defence members.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will possess the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • They must have current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Vocational Registration is also required.
  • A minimum of 2 years full-time post graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent) is essential.
  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA is mandatory.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification is necessary.

Please note: You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
