Job Description:

Metcash's Wholesale Distribution Business is seeking a Category Coordinator to play a pivotal role in managing product lifecycles, pricing strategies, promotions, and more. As part of our high-performing team, you will support the Category Manager in crafting and executing a shopper-led, channel-specific trade plan that drives improvements in COGS.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage product lifecycles and pricing strategies to drive business growth and improve COGS
  • Support the Category Manager in developing and executing trade plans
  • Analyze data and insights to inform category and shopper decisions
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive business outcomes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience or strong understanding of retail and/or FMCG
  • Proficiency in data and analytics tools like Excel, Power BI, and Circana
  • Knowledge of Category Management and 4P principles
  • Basic negotiation skills and ability to translate category and shopper insights into actionable plans
