Mine Engineering Specialist

As a highly skilled Underground Mining Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering quality products and reliable services to the underground mining sector.
Your primary focus will be on driving improvements in paste backfill performance through optimisation of rheology, reticulation, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and backfill strength design. You will proactively identify and mitigate associated risks, leading to enhanced productivity and efficiency in operations.
You will lead and contribute to projects focused on expanding and enhancing paste backfill infrastructure, including the design and implementation of barricades to support continuous pouring where applicable. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration of geotechnical and backfill considerations into mine design, planning, and scheduling.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnics, Mining Engineering, Civil/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years experience as a backfill engineer, including operational roles, is also required. Additionally, you should have experience in Project/Cost/Contractor Management and knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
