As a Disability Planner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning network through the delivery of core initiatives and projects. Your primary objective will be to enhance capacity and capability within the team, ensuring meaningful engagement with participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse participant records using policies, practice guidance, and legislation to inform funding decisions.
  • Develop strong working relationships with participants and their representatives, facilitating effective communication and identifying current circumstances and spending patterns.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed record keeping, adhering to established processes and guidelines.
  • Conduct research and review decisions, managing moderately complex cases with support from senior staff members.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including data entry, to ensure seamless operation.
  • Contribute to achieving key performance indicators, including planning targets, to drive business growth and success.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Planner, Support Coordinator, Local Area Coordinator, Disability Employment Consultant, or similar roles is highly valued.
  • A background in disability or public sector work is also highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.
  • The ability to manage difficult conversations and maintain confidentiality is critical.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products and data analytical tools is necessary for efficient task completion.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and a strong problem-solving approach are essential for driving results.
