About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of access applications under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act). Your leadership and communication skills will be essential in leading and managing the Information Access team to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Information Access team to ensure effective decision-making and management of access applications.
  • Manage requests from agencies exercising a statutory power of demand.
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of GIPA and privacy legislation, as well as extensive knowledge of related legal development and case law. You will also possess highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with experience in dealing efficiently and tactfully with internal and external stakeholders.

Additionally, you will have demonstrated experience in leading a team, managing the allocation of work, producing consistently high-quality decisions, and meeting strict deadlines in a high-volume work environment.
