Automotive Electrician Role Overview

About The Opportunity

We are seeking an Experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Site Maintenance team, working closely with other members on a Permanent basis based at our Cataby, WA site. This role entails preventative and breakdown maintenance on our onsite mobile equipment.

About You
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate required
  • Current Automotive Air Condition Repair Licence necessary
  • Strong commitment to the health, safety and well-being of all employees
  • Experience repairing and maintaining machinery such as CAT, Liebherr, Hitachi, Komatsu & John Deere mining equipment
  • Current experience working in a mining or civil engineering environment on large scale equipment
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed plans and diagrams
  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence required
  • Willingsness to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug / Alcohol Screen
Responsibilities
  • Utilise organisational skills to ensure required parts and tools are available for work on site
  • Complete scheduled repairs and maintenance of mobile equipment efficiently and safely using correct manual handling techniques
  • Perform diagnostics, problem solving, and fault finding accurately and in a timely manner
  • Strive for continuous improvement by identifying and repairing parts for reuse
  • Effectively communicate with team members and clients on site to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines
  • Able to work autonomously and conduct works professionally
  • Meet deadlines while maintaining a strong approach to safety
