Sr Piping Design Specialist

Role Description

This role involves the design and development of piping systems for various industries. A key aspect is ensuring compliance with relevant standards and company guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drafter checking and validation of 3D model plant layout and clash detection
  • Verifying design adherence to Australian and company standards
  • Piping system design maintenance and optimization
  • Evaluating vendor-provided drawing packages
  • Checking isometrics, pipe support, and bill of material accuracy
  • Structural and civil detail drawing review
  • Collaboration with designers to resolve design discrepancies
Key Requirements
  • High school certificate including technical drawing/design experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software
  • 3D drafting skills
  • Experience with Autodesk Plant3D & Navisworks
  • Cert IV Engineering Drafting or equivalent desirable
  • Senior-level plant layout and design expertise
Fundamental Skills and Knowledge
  • Design principles and practices
  • Piping system design methodologies
  • Australian and international standards application
  • Autodesk software proficiency
