Job Role:

This is a rewarding nursing position that directly impacts life-changing donations. The successful candidate will work with generous donors in a more predictable, people-focused environment, with less hospital pressure and the chance to be a key part of the community.

As a Registered Nurse, you will bring your fantastic customer-facing skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service, while working together to ensure Australia's supply of blood products.

  • Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate
  • Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process
  • Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up machines and collections equipment
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation

Our paid and flexible training program provides a balance between on-the-job practice and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported.

Requirements include occasional lifting, frequent standing, walking, and bending, utilising expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and holding a current AHPRA registration.

Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts, is also required.
