You will work closely with generous donors, enjoying a more predictable environment with less hospital pressure and the chance to be a key part of the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate.
  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance to other team members in the blood collection process.
  • Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
  • Set up machines and collections equipment.
  • Collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets safely and efficiently.
  • Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance.
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them in scheduling their next donation.
Requirements:
  • Maintain physical stamina to occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs.
  • Frequently stand, walk, and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products.
  • Utilise your expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registration.
  • Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts.
  • Have your own vehicle and driver's licence.
