Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver prepared subject matter demonstrating clear alignment with Biblical principles and sound doctrine, strong subject knowledge, current educational research, well-developed practice, capacity for student engagement, consistency with relevant standards and frameworks, and effective collaboration in team planning and/or team teaching.
  • Conduct pastoral care and welfare duties including sharing devotions and praying with students, supporting students' spiritual, physical, social, and emotional well-being and safety, responding to pastoral care issues promptly, attending parent meetings as required, creating supportive learning environments, managing behaviour in accordance with policies, and assisting in coordinating and supervising students during activities and events.
  • Oversee, execute and manage day‑to‑day administrative and operational needs including assessing and recording student progress carefully, providing timely feedback, maintaining accurate student attendance records, preparing, reviewing and presenting relevant reports, identifying and managing risks associated with planned learning activities, and ensuring learning continuity by providing appropriate lesson plans for colleagues during unavoidable absences.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • A committed Christian who is actively involved in their local evangelical Christian church and open to discussion and prayer about faith.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications with a clear understanding of what it means to be a Christian teacher.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills.
  • Highly developed classroom management skills.
  • Able to utilise technology efficiently and proactive in developing IT skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
