About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our Supplier Management and Procurement team at Boeing. This role is responsible for the generation and management of ordering for Insitu Pacific, including identifying and soliciting new vendors and various other tasks related to purchasing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct direct and indirect procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support subcontracts specialists in tasks related to higher-value procurement transactions, including negotiations and contract management.
  • Sourcing possible suppliers to meet program needs or business 'gaps' and assess suitability for procurement, leveraging industry knowledge and relationships.
  • Conduct basic negotiations in relation to buying terms with vendors (price, quantity, delivery), ensuring optimal value for the company.
  • Management of purchase orders, including expediting orders and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Management of inbound deliveries, ensuring accurate receipt and storage of goods.
  • Set up and continual maintenance of supplier information, providing for safekeeping of all original documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership.
  • Communicate with suppliers, and stakeholders to identify and resolve issues associated with the procure to pay cycle, including quotes, billing, and other documentation discrepancies.
  • Management of quotations from suppliers, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
  • Management of supplier warranty claims and supplier corrective action requests (SCARs), resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to identify and resolve issues associated with the procurement cycle, ensuring seamless execution.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in purchasing / buying / procurement management and administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiations skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while working to schedule commitments, with a high level of accuracy and autonomy.
  • Proven ability to display a positive and flexible attitude, self-motivated and efficient, with a strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet and adhere to critical deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of Defence Contracting policies and procedures, with experience in procurement management within the defence industry.
  • Professional accreditations: CIPS, ISM, ASCM, etc. that are relevant to supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated skills in successfully negotiating with suppliers, with a track record of achieving optimal value for the company.
Eligibility
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
  • Able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
  • You may require a Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA) in order to perform this role, please refer to the Department of Defence website to understand these requirements.
