Key duties include:

  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Ensuring accurate entry of patient details into the Webpas Patient Management System
  • Contacting health funds to verify patient coverage and financial status
  • Liaising with bookings clerks to facilitate pre-admission processes
  • Following up on after-hours admissions and processing identification and financial forms
  • Managing switchboard operations and efficiently answering and redirecting calls
  • Providing exceptional customer service to the public, visitors, suppliers, doctors, staff, and patients
  • Performing reception duties and monitoring the flow of visitors throughout the hospital foyer
  • Directing visitors and contractors to specialist or patient rooms
Selection Criteria

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early, late, and weekend shifts
  • WebPas Hospital System experience (desirable)
