We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Specialist in Gastroenterology to join our team at the Department of Health, Tasmania. As a key member of our Gastroenterology Department, you will be responsible for providing specialist diagnosis, treatment, and care for public patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a consultant role in Gastroenterology, including inpatient and outpatient care to public and private patients of the Royal Hobart Hospital.
- Be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and to be actively involved in research.
- Undertake quality improvement activities.
- Holds specialist registration; or
- Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway; or
- Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.
- Experience in assessment and management of IBD and/or Liver disease.
- Experience in Intestinal Ultrasound is desirable.
- Experience in assessment and management of motility disorders including oesophageal manometry/pH testing would be desirable but not essential.
- Interventionalist doing ERCP/EUS not required.
