Simulation System Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Simulation Technician and Trainer. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our simulation systems.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing on-site support for unit CPT gunnery training, and out-of-hours support when requested and approved;
- Providing on-call off-site support via phone contact during out-of-hours operation;
- Performing corrective and preventative maintenance of the CPTs;
- Performing on-site first-line repair to CPTs;
- Arranging for and supervising subcontractor support for the ASLAV CPTs as required;
- Delivery of in-unit CPT operator, instructor, and maintainer training courses;
- Designing and delivering additional exercises and scenarios at the request of the customer;
- Assisting in software and hardware modifications of the CPT;
- Providing direct liaison with the customer regarding upgrades and suggested improvements of the CPTs;
- Providing detailed monthly reporting statistics to the senior OSR regarding simulator usage and downtime;
- Maintaining the integrity of configured baseline of CPT hardware and software;
- Maintaining on-site stores and spares inventory;
- Providing subject matter expertise to management regarding future land-based simulation projects;
Key Qualifications:
- A sound understanding of computer and networking maintenance and servicing principles;
- Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities;
- Experience in compiling and submitting detailed monthly reports;
- Excellent Microsoft Word and XLS skills;
- Experience in developing and delivering training;
- An ability to work in a diverse workplace of military/civilians and gender;
