Electrical Engineer - Grid System Specialist

The role of an Electrical Engineer in our Grid Technology division is to develop the energy systems of the future, ensuring a reliable and sustainable grid. We are looking for a highly skilled individual to join our team as an Electrical Engineer - Grid System Specialist.

About the Role

This position involves coordinating design, test, and manufacture functions to produce robust and reliable electrical designs and engineering packages. You will be responsible for preparing offers and project management delivery of all project-related primary and auxiliary electrical systems.

You will also be involved in technical management of transmission equipment offer/order processing teams and coordination with project management and experts from fields of study preparation, software, and hardware engineering. Additionally, you will plan, monitor, and control offer/order processing, including technical conception, scope of delivery, scheduling/resource planning, costing, calculation, quality control, and opportunity/risk management.

Your responsibilities will include reporting, information management, revision, and order completion as well as process/design reviews. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements
  • University degree in electrical engineering or comparable standard duration of > 5 years.
  • Post-graduate professional experience and experience in project management.
  • Technically knowledgeable and experienced in high voltage transmission equipment and auxiliary systems.
  • Extensive knowledge in MS Office applications and PM tools.
  • Business fluent communication in English and willingness to go on business trips locally and internationally.
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland/RPEV/CPEng/National Registered Professional Engineer (RPEng) registered at the National Engineering Register in Australia.
