Lead Cardiac Care Specialist

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced nurse to work in a fast-paced environment where they will play a vital role in managing cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death globally.
The successful candidate will have recent experience working in critical care and be looking to try something different that utilises their skills. They will work closely with a friendly team including a NUM, CNE, cardiac rehabilitation nurse, RNs, and radiographers, supporting a medical team of cardiologists and cardiac advanced trainees.
Key responsibilities include performing and assisting in cath lab procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, pacemaker placements, and stent placements with attention to patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will also collaborate with cardiologists, radiographers, and nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
Requirements include current Nursing registration (AHPRA) with a relevant area of practice, recent experience in critical care or cath lab setting, demonstrated ability to work in a team and communicate clearly under pressure, commitment to patient-centered care and safety, and willingness to participate in ongoing cardiology education and training.
