Program Facilitator OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Program Facilitator to deliver therapeutic programs to small groups of prisoners. This is a vital role in addressing violence, addiction, and other offending behaviours.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver group programs and interventions to participants with complex mental health or behavioural issues.
  • Collaborate with co-facilitators to establish risk management plans and increase community safety.
  • Document offender progress and behaviour through effective report writing and communication skills.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • A degree (or progression toward) in Psychology or Social Work.
  • Experience in delivering group programs and interventions, ideally within correctional, welfare, or institutional settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage group dynamics and work with participants who may have complex mental health or behavioural issues.
  • Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills to document offender progress and behaviour.
  • Understanding of cognitive behavioural approaches to address and change offending behaviours.
