Job Description:

The Head of Finance will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's financial future, providing strategic insights and recommendations to the Executive Team and Board of Directors. Key responsibilities include leading the development of long-term financial plans, overseeing the preparation and presentation of annual financial statements, and ensuring transparent financial reporting to internal stakeholders, investors, and regulatory bodies.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams, fostering a high-performance culture and professional growth.
  2. Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  3. Contribute to long-term financial planning and forecasting to ensure business growth and sustainability.
  4. Oversee the preparation and presentation of annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements.
  5. Manage a sound system of risk management and internal control that operates efficiently and effectively.
  6. Ensure transparent financial reporting to internal stakeholders, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  7. Oversee the submission of Treasury financial returns.
  8. Champion best practice controls and governance within financial management operations.
  9. Drive the uplift of financial management skills, accountability, and commercial capability across the business.
  10. Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations and strategic investments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Member of Chartered Accountants ANZ or CPA or recognized affiliated professional bodies.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance (Economics, Commerce, or Accounting).
  • Comprehensive understanding of management and financial accounting.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • High proficiency in financial and accounting software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, financial planning tools).
  • Experience in financial accounting and corporate compliance (statutory reporting, GST, and FBT, and employment tax lodgement processes).
  • Significant experience in a senior financial role.
