About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Developer to join our team at Civica. As a key member of our Local Government business unit, you will be responsible for building and automating application build, release, configuration management, and deployment over both on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) via scripting, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software projects and provide technical escalation and support.
  • Monitor and report on environment metrics in accordance with agreed customer SLAs for availability, performance, and capacity.
  • Participate in on-call support and perform releases, ad-hoc service requests, and incident recovery during out-of-hours and public holidays.
About You

We are looking for a highly capable and technically hands-on experience DevOps Developer with:

  • Hands-on experience on AWS and/or Azure design, implementation, optimization, and support of cloud infrastructure.
  • Linux and Windows sysadmin skills, scripting with Perl, Python, or PowerShell, integration with IaC.
  • Demonstrable advanced application debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in incident, problem, capacity, and change management (ITIL desirable) and ability to maintain technical documentation and CI records.
  • Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with internal/external stakeholders across different time zones and geographical locations.
