We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Worker to join our team in Cairns and surrounding areas. As a Direct Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including showering, toileting, dressing, and administering medications.
  • Assist with domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Support individuals with mobility issues, including transferring using hoists and slide sheets.
  • Accompany individuals to community activities, such as doctors' appointments, grocery shopping, and social events.
Requirements
  • Driver's License and access to a car.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Card) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Commitment to infection prevention and control measures, including the use of PPE as directed.

  • An hourly rate based on your industry-related experience and qualifications.
  • Above award minimum pay level of $33.01/hr at Level 1.1 for those entering the industry on a casual position.
