Job Role

As an Assistant Client Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, assisting them with their tax and business advisory needs.

  • Client meetings (including AGMs) to deliver tax strategies, software guidance, and business mentoring.
  • Provide tailored tax planning and structuring advice.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge to prepare and review: Individual and business tax returns, fax planning figures and analysis, financial statements across multiple entity types, Fringe Benefits Tax returns, CGT calculations, Division 7A compliance, and SGC obligations.
About You

We are looking for individuals who hold a Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent degree, with 3+ years of industry experience in accounting/taxation, and at least 1+ year in a client-facing account management role.

  • Strong technical foundation in taxation and accounting, with the ability to translate complex rules into practical outcomes for clients.
  • Understands key areas such as Non-commercial loss rules, CGT small business concessions, depreciation rules, Trust minutes, Franking accounts and dividends, Taxable Payments Annual Reports, Tax minimisation strategies.
  • Confident using cloud-based accounting software (Access Handi Tax, Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks), practice management systems.
