Job Description

As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to customers, managing claims processes, and identifying and mitigating risks. If you are passionate about helping people and have excellent communication skills, this could be the perfect role for you.

  • Deliver Exceptional Service: As the primary contact for property loss claims, guide customers through policy entitlements and claims processes.
  • Empathetic Support: Proactively address customer needs, building trusted relationships and balancing customer and business outcomes.
  • Claims Management: Set strategies, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage claims costs while ensuring timely, quality outcomes.
  • Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to policies, regulations, and the General Insurance Code of Practice.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements, support team development, and ensure financial compliance with policy scope and authority limits.
Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 2 years' customer service experience, with 1-3 years in general insurance (preferred)
  • Knowledge of claims processes and general insurance products (preferred)
  • A resilient and caring mindset to manage complex and emotionally demanding situations, including vulnerable customers
  • The ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and knowledge of relevant insurance legislation
  • Computer literacy and ability to navigate new systems and platforms
