About the Role

Monde Nissin Australia is seeking a highly skilled Demand & Supply Planner to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will play a crucial role in managing the demand signal, purchasing of inventory, and daily sales exceptions to ensure maximum possible service level to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the demand signal, purchasing of inventory, and daily sales exceptions to ensure maximum possible service level to our customers.
  • Work with the sales team, historical sales data, current trends, and the promotion calendar to develop a robust weekly demand signal across the portfolio.
  • Review daily sales to react to fluctuations against the forecast.
  • Actively contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, providing analysis, recommendations, and reporting as required.
  • Coordinate the introduction of new lines into our range by working with sales teams to determine how new products and ranges most effectively fit into our supply chain, and determining the initial pipe fill demand and ongoing distribution levels.
  • Coordinate the purchasing of inventory, ensuring sufficient levels to meet customers' requirements.
  • Proactively review stock levels of all SKU's within the portfolio to prevent waste by identifying potential waste in time for clearance activities.
  • Maintain positive working relationships, ensuring effective two-way collaboration.
  • Prepare purchasing forecasts for Suppliers and other information as required, ensuring we receive appropriate communication and co-operation around issues that may impact our ability to supply our customers.
  • Ensure the supply chain parameters and master data for each supplier within the portfolio are configured to optimize: inventory stocking location, order frequency, minimum order sizes, order multiples, MLOR, and other relevant logistical parameters.
  • Provide detailed analysis of demand and supply results to internal/external stakeholders as required.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute relevant weekly and monthly reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide data and commentary for the monthly S&OP process for the relevant portfolio.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualified in Supply Chain, Commerce, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in supply planning and expediting across local and international suppliers.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar FMCG role with a large SKU count.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • APICS qualifications desirable.
  • Very strong Demand & Supply experience in an FMCG supply chain environment.
  • A high-level understanding of overall supply chain processes and best practice.
  • Working knowledge and involvement in a Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Experience in the use of appropriate ERP system - Smoothie Mambo an advantage.
  • High-level skills with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to influence key stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes throughout the supply chain structure and cross-functionally.
  • Personal characteristics - driven, ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment, communication skills, organisational skills, friendly, positive, and customer-focused personality.
