AGL Energy is seeking a dedicated Capital Planning Specialist to provide governance over our Capital Budget Planning process. This role is crucial for the development and optimization of 5-year and Whole of Life capital plans, ensuring our projects are well-planned, executed, and aligned with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Systems, policies, and standards.
  • Process safety principles during investment planning to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Prepare future capital budgets and coordinate the development of 5-year and Whole of Life Capital Budget plans.
  • Manage project close-out/handover activities, ensuring effective Management of Change.
  • Oversee project controls, data collection, and reporting to track progress and outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Engineering discipline or trade qualification with relevant industry experience OR industry experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale industrial asset management or investment selection processes.
  • Prior experience using capital planning software applications or similar tools is ideal.
  • Excellent analytical and data management capabilities.
  • Great ability to interface effectively with various internal stakeholders.
