We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our dedicated team.

Job Overview

About the Role:

  • Provide personalized support services to individuals with disabilities, adhering to their NDIS plans.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • Offer transportation assistance and respite care to clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
  • Foster effective communication with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by following health and safety regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities.
  • Experience with complex client needs is highly valued.
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base, considering different support needs based on abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
