Job Description

Key Performance Area:

A highly skilled and experienced commercial lawyer is required to join our in-house legal team, contributing strategic legal support to senior stakeholders and advancing key government initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level legal advice on complex procurement and contractual issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and ICT-related agreements.
  • Advise on privacy, data governance, cyber security, employment, and intergovernmental agreements.
  • Deliver strategic legal support to senior stakeholders and contribute to ministerial briefings and decision-making.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years post-admission experience gained in a private practice, in-house, or public sector environment.
  • Experience in a non-contentious area of practice such as corporate/commercial IT, banking & finance, property, construction, or employment.
  • Ability to work independently on complex legal issues and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and research skills.
