About the Opportunity

As a Training Instructor for ASC's Training Services team, you will deliver courses to train the next generation of Navy submariners in combat system and communications maintenance.

Contribute to training development, technology updates, and other related activities, sharing your knowledge and expertise in electrical system technical fields.

This civilian role delivers Collins Class Submarine combat and communication systems maintainer training at HMAS Stirling, Garden Island, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training in various environments
  • Assess student performance
  • Support training development and instructional design
  • Maintain currency in own knowledge and skills
  • Provide input into configuration changes and impact assessments

Requirements

  • Knowledge of surface ship or submarine combat system and communication equipment maintenance
  • Certificate III Electrical Engineering
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Understanding of adult learning principles
  • Strong understanding of security and data handling requirements

Eligibility

Obtain and maintain National Police Clearance, Australian Defence Security Clearance, and ability to access protected US defence technology.
