Physics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled physics engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our physics pipeline and engine systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics and mathematics, with experience in C/C++ programming languages. You should be familiar with modern CPU performance analysis tools and have a solid understanding of CPU and memory architectures.

You will work closely with our design, art, and production teams to develop features and collaborate on projects. Your ability to communicate effectively and debug complex issues will be crucial to your success in this role.

In addition to your technical skills, you should possess good communication and collaboration skills, as well as a passion for code and data optimization. Experience with current generation platforms (console, PC, mobile) is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, modify, optimize, and debug physics pipeline and engine systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, art, and production teams.
  • Participate in the design, performance, and code review process.
  • Contribute to the design and roadmap of industry-leading AAA engines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Knowledge of CPU and memory architectures.
  • Familiarity with modern CPU performance analysis tools.
  • Strong background in C/C++.
  • Solid debugging skills, including assembly-level debugging when necessary.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for code and data optimization.
  • Experience with current generation platforms (console, PC, mobile).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with physics simulation or related technologies.
  • Drive collision data pipeline for high-fidelity environments.
  • Support simulation behaviors for FPS physics gameplay and visuals.
  • Interest in high-fidelity, scalable animation systems.
  • Collaborate with animators and engineers to improve character fidelity.
  • Develop workflows for animation behavior debugging and improvement.
  • Understanding of animation systems like state machines, blend trees, playback.
