The position of Theatre Registered Nurse requires exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures, as well as the ability to contribute to a centre of excellence in Orthopaedic Surgery.
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing care throughout patient procedures, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and maintaining current knowledge and skills through continued professional development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes by following evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrating clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and patient management within the theatre complex.
- Implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities.
The successful applicant must possess a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent, as well as a minimum of two years' experience as a Perioperative Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse. Registration with no restrictions with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - AHPRA is also required.
Post-Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing is highly desirable, but not essential. The candidate must demonstrate compliance with ACQSHC National Standards.
