Director of Perioperative Nursing Leadership

About the Role:

The Director of Perioperative Nursing Leadership is a senior leadership position responsible for leading and managing the planning, management, and delivery of safe, quality consumer/person-centred care within procedural areas of the Surgery and Critical Care Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance the provision of high-quality patient care in perioperative settings.
  • Lead and manage teams of nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective care.
  • Collaborate with other Senior Nurse leaders and key stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the development of a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Support and nurture a culture of ongoing learning and professional development among nursing staff.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in nursing or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in perioperative nursing.
  • Proven track record of achieving results through effective leadership and team management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
