Job Opportunity: Cybersecurity Governance Professional

This role offers the chance to shape and enhance cybersecurity frameworks, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to strategic governance initiatives.

The Cybersecurity Governance Analyst will lead assessments across various businesses, helping to improve the overall cyber posture. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading cybersecurity assessments across multiple businesses.
  • Developing and refining the cybersecurity assessment framework for subsidiaries.
  • Managing external vendors conducting assessments and overseeing remediation efforts.
  • Setting up and supervising external attack surface monitoring and risk tracking.
  • Providing guidance to subsidiaries and brokers on cybersecurity and IT-related matters.
  • Contributing to governance strategy development and incident response support.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC).
  • Hands-on experience conducting assessments and audits.
  • Familiarity with established frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and APRA CPS234.
  • Knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements including the Corporations Act and Privacy Act.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, ISC, ISACA, SANS) are highly regarded.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
