BAE Systems Australia invites applications for a Post Initial Employment Training (PIET) Instructor – Aviation to join our Aerospace business on the Aviation Technical Training (ATT) project based in Wagga, New South Wales.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with technical expertise in the aviation industry to undertake facilitation and delivery of technical training in Aviation PIET. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and updating PIET training solutions and training documentation, reviewing and assessing Aviation Defence policies and procedures, and providing specialisation skills and advice to support aviation technical training.

The position offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave entitlements. This is a permanent full-time role that requires relocation to Wagga, New South Wales.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Technical experience as a ground maintenance engineer, C-E (Communications/Electronics) Technician, or Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician
  • Certificate 4 in Aeroskills or higher qualification
  • Experience with or knowledge of Defence policies and policy updates, maintenance publications, and technical regulatory frameworks
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
