About the Role

Pacific National is seeking a skilled Terminal Operator to join our team. As a Terminal Operator, you will be responsible for working within our terminal depot, including outdoor movements, and operating forklifts and gantry cranes. You will also be involved in shunting and train examination duties, as well as ensuring the security and general housekeeping of the area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and gantry cranes safely and efficiently
  • Shunt and examine trains to ensure they are ready for departure
  • Maintain the security and cleanliness of the terminal depot
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure trains leave on time

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about safety and has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will need to be able to multitask and change priorities as required, and work well within a team to ensure tasks are completed on time.

Requirements

  • Current LF licence (Forklift)
  • Current gantry crane licence is an advantage
  • Strong commitment to enforcing a safety culture
  • Ability to work in a dynamic 24/7 shift work environment
  • Excellent communication skills and team focus
