About the Organization:

Our client, a Local Government authority located in the South East, is in search of a dedicated and knowledgeable HR Consultant to become a part of their vibrant People and Strategy team. This position presents a remarkable opportunity to collaborate closely with leadership, delivering top-notch HR guidance and assistance across various functions.

The role is set to commence immediately and is initially contracted for a duration of 3 months, with the potential for extended opportunities. This is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday. The organization promotes flexible working options, with the team typically working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert HR guidance on employee relations, recruitment processes, and performance management.
  • Assist leadership with data-informed insights and practical solutions to cultivate a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements.
  • Engage in HR projects and initiatives aimed at advancing strategic objectives and improving workplace culture.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing generalist HR support, including interpretation of Enterprise Agreements and applicable legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a capacity to handle confidential matters with sensitivity.
