About the Job

We're seeking a Community & Engagement Officer to join our team and contribute to the success of our engagement strategy. In this role, you'll work closely with our Senior Community Engagement and Communications Manager to develop and execute communication and engagement initiatives.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You'll be responsible for developing and managing content across multiple formats, including social media posts, web copy, blogs, reports, brochures, factsheets, eDMs, and promotional materials.
  • You'll organise and execute engagement and communications campaigns within project regions.
  • You'll source quotes and coordinate the delivery of printed and promotional materials.
  • You'll manage and moderate Alinta Energy's websites, social media, and digital platforms.
  • You'll track, measure, and analyse the effectiveness of engagement activities using media and analytics tools.
  • You'll assist in planning and delivering community and stakeholder engagement events.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • A strong background in stakeholder/community engagement and communications is essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools such as social media, design software, and website platforms is required.
  • Oustanding written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing, proofreading, and formatting abilities are necessary.
  • The ability to translate complex information into clear and engaging content is critical.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software are required.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks, work flexibly, and contribute effectively within a dispersed team are highly valued.
