This individual will play a key role in the design and delivery of scalable platform solutions, supporting the deployment and operation of business-critical applications.
- Guides others in operating digital and technology tools relevant to area of work.
- Assesses effectiveness of service delivery against leading services.
- Proficient with tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation to build and manage consistent infrastructure across environments.
- Advocate for GitOps, automation, observability, and resilience through platform engineering and site reliability principles.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking (VPC, DNS, routing) and experience managing Linux systems, backups, patching, certificates, and shell scripting.
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code – CDK, CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, owning incident response and the operational health of supported services.
The scope of work includes designing and implementing cloud infrastructure (AWS), managing Kubernetes and ECS platforms, automating infrastructure provisioning, supporting container-based application deployments, and driving continuous improvement of platform reliability and developer experience.
This role may also involve contributing to cross-agency platform initiatives, enhancing observability, and providing mentorship to other engineers in the team.
Key Responsibilities:
