Job Title: Assistant Director

Goodstart Early Learning is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our centre and ensuring the highest quality early learning and care for our children.

About the Role:

As the Assistant Director, you will be responsible for supporting the Centre Director in the leadership of the team, providing high-quality early learning and care, and mentoring and building capabilities within the centre team. You will also be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director's absence, using and implementing the Goodstart Practice Guide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
  • Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
  • Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director's absence
  • Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma or bachelor's in early childhood education
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one
  • Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services
  • Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage
  • Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
