About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Avivo. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals to live their best life in their own home, with independence and connection to their local community.

As a Support Worker, you will work with individuals who require individualized support services due to disability, ageing, or mental ill-health. Your role will involve providing personal care, home management, and social care assistance, as well as supporting individuals with daily living tasks and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals in their own homes
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as domestic assistance and meal preparation
  • Support individuals with social care activities, such as outings and community engagement
  • Work collaboratively with individuals, their families, and other support workers to achieve individualized goals and outcomes
  • Participate in regular training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (essential)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening check or willingness to obtain one
