Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at SDN Beranga Autism Specific Preschool in Rooty Hill.

About the Role

This is a casual position for a Cert III or Diploma qualified Educator who will work as part of a team to provide high-quality early childhood education and care to children with autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain nurturing relationships with children and communicate positively and openly with them on an ongoing basis.
  • Promote and guide positive behaviour in children.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to implement an approved learning framework.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Current Working with Children's Check (NSW).
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (preferable).

About SDN Children's Services

SDN Children's Services is a purpose-built preschool for children with autism located in Rooty Hill. We provide early childhood education for 27 children daily and offer early childhood intervention services and children's therapies.

We take pride in providing quality early childhood education for autistic children using best practices in early intervention approaches, positive behaviour, and play-based learning.

We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from culturally diverse backgrounds to apply.

Successful applicants will be subject to relevant pre-employment checks, including a Working with Children Check (NSW), National Police Check, and Covid 19 vaccination in line with government regulations.
