Educator - Science Teacher

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to join our school community as a Science Teacher. As a Science Teacher, you will be part of a supportive team dedicated to providing high-quality education to students.
Main Responsibilities- Planning and implementing teaching programs or courses of study in Science
- Teaching Science to a year level
- Monitoring, evaluating and reporting student progress in key learning areas
- Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
- Maintaining records of class attendance and recording student progress
- Implementing effective student management consistent with the school charter
- Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills in Science
- Demonstrated capacity to implement high-impact teaching strategies and evaluate their impact on student learning growth
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to establish collaborative relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- Demonstrated commitment to Department values: Responsiveness, Integrity, Impartiality, Accountability, Respect, Leadership and Human Rights
- A recent graduate with a degree in Science or Education
- Provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching
- Eligibility for incentive payments
