Job Title: Learning and Teaching Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning and Teaching Leader to join our team at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and collaborating with teachers to develop and implement evidence-based teaching practices. They will have a strong understanding of the Science of Learning and classroom teaching experience across various year levels P - 6.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and collaborate with teachers to enhance their capacity to deliver evidence-based teaching practices through universal teaching
  • Facilitate planning sessions and model implemented practices
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning & Assessment team to interpret and analyse school-wide data
  • Prepare and facilitate professional development for staff in line with the School Improvement Plan
  • Observe classroom instruction to provide feedback and determine next steps for teachers
  • Understand and implement Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) to create safe and effective teaching and learning environments
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years classroom teaching experience across various levels P - 6
  • A high level of understanding and implementation of evidence-based teaching practices
  • Further study or post-graduate qualifications (or the commitment to further study)
